Our 6th annual FREE Shred Day for the community was a success! We are thankful to everyone who came out and made it a great day! The amount of paper shredded brought our total to more than 18 tons of paper collected for recycling since we began hosting this event.
A big shout-out to the Spring Hill Police Department who helped us hire two off-duty officers to safely direct traffic during our event. We also gave out delicious cookies that we purchased from The Dotted Lime in Columbia – that were gluten free and peanut/tree nut free – to hand out to visitors. The cookies made everyone smile! It was a win-win to support a great local business and offer a token of our appreciation to our visitors.
As part of our FREE Shred Day event each year, we host a food drive for The Well Outreach. We are so thankful to be able to pass along the generous food and money donations we collected during the event.
We saw many visitors who have become regulars to our annual FREE Shred Day event. We also had a few participants who are new to the area and were very happy to know that our community is here to welcome them with helpful services such as our FREE Shred Day. In all, we heard many comments from people who are so thankful that we provide this service each year.
